November Plans

Winter is coming quick! That means I have to get ready for the winter!  I still have to go out and buy a scraper for my car and also buy a new phone cause my LG is dying on me slowly! The interface is upside down and reverse! How messed up is that! I can barely read texts and when making calls it's all memorization. haha

anyways, plans.... Planning to save money and buy gifts, clothes, new pretty Hmong outfit, gas, food, loans and bills... life...

BTW, in 3 mins is my 2nd year anniversary with my love! 11/11/11, WOO HOO! I'm so glad that things are still working out for us and hopefully it will continue like this for a long time.

Oh I also saw a play today called, My Home Has No Walls. It was at Century College. Ticket price was cheap, five bucks. Good show and a great discussion at the end. Some of the crowd included directors of organizations for shelters, healthcare, and other professionals.  I was very impressed at the popularity it received. One thing that was mentioned was how the play showed homeless from a privilege person's perspective. I found that to be true. I mean... homelessness has many different levels but what they portrayed really was from a better side of being homeless compared to the uglier side of homeless that is hidden. It's such a hard topic to try to show because there's always many challenges to this issue. Being homeless is not the same for everyone. A person of color really does have different experiences compared to a white person, homeless or not. I think the play should have focused on a part about people of color also. Little to nothing was mentioned about people of color or glbt communities where homelessness occurs the most. It's a good play for audiences who want to start a discussion but there's always room for improvement. I give it a 3 star.
FYI, the play was based off on Wilder's research on homeless within the Metro area.

Last night I just won my bid for this natural color eyeshadow pallet. It was .99 cents with $6.89 shipping. But...

My family and I just celebrated our Family New Year spirit blessing this past weekend and I can't spend money for the next 3 days.. I have until this Thursday morning to use money again but sadly I already spent some money Sunday night because I had to buy snacks for my class... MAN. I wished I would've done that earlier on another day. This means that for the rest of the year I might be spending a lot of money on school.

Thing is, with my culture if your family celebrates their family new year blessing, it's best if you don't use any money at all because the 3 days after the blessing determines your new year's habits. So its really good if during the 3 days, you receive things instead of giving.

The BF: One Year Already

Today is my ONE YEAR Anniversary with my lover!

I am reminded why I care so much about him:

• His calm voice
• His patience with me
• His trust in me
• He gives me my space even though time apart annoys him
• He respects me
• He calls me every night to make sure I'm safe

 I have been too busy to actually purchase anything for him. His cologne is still on its way here so I hope it comes tomorrow or Friday!!! I will finally get to see him (I hope) this Friday when I finally get to go home. It's been 3 weeks without seeing him or my parents! I miss them all! It's that time of the year again for the Blessing of the new year.

Waiting Game

I just recently bought a cologne for my bf from ebay! It is Ralph Lauren Black mini collection cologne. I hope it smells good. I saw it at Ulta last weekend and really liked the smell but sadly I forgot to take a photo of it for my memory. I had to sort of guess and choose from Ebay which one it was because apparently Ralph Lauren has A LOT of cologne for men. WOWS! The other cologne that I saw that had some good reviews was Ralph Lauren's Blue cologne. We'll see how it goes when it gets here!

My bf doesn't wear cologne because he isn't into it, YET! hahaha. I decided that it's time he tried! I hope it gets here safe and in one piece! I'm excited to smell it. Maybe I will do a review on it too??? Maybe...

My "other" package is on its way as well. It's a free gift though I had to pay for shipping. It's a secret. Shhhh... I'm kind of excited to see how it is. hehehe.
